Oregon born and raised, Marissa credits her artistic instincts to the lifelong influence of her family. In a true marriage of ideas, Marissa's inspiration and materials are both inspired and derived from the world around her. All of these exclusive art covers were born as installation pieces put together exclusively for this collaboration before being carefully photographed and mounted on our beautiful Khata journals. Inspired by the hand bound notebooks from a bygone era, our Khata jounals are made entirely by hand from post consumer recycled paper and fabric scraps. Each and every piece is completely unique and retains all the charm of a handmade creation. Together, the two make a combination that would be highly valued by lovers of either.
